COSIMO VINCI
Cosimo Vinci was born in Taranto in 1971, a city whose historical and geographical location has inspired much of his artistic work, deeply influenced by the culture of Magna Graecia. His curiosity for the values of the archaeological and anthropological tradition is reflected in his professional commitment as a “Creative of the jewel”, with a clear desire to communicate historical and artistic research through his creations.
Cosimo Vinci can be defined as a multifaceted Brand designer, whose creativity is characterized by a curious and experimental nature. This nature separates him from the traditional fields of
research and pushes it towards an interdisciplinarity that crosses the fashion and jewellery sectors,
with a particular propensity for projects with a strong communicative impact.
With a degree in Arts and Communication at DAMS in Bologna and a specialization in Jewelry Design at LAO in Florence, we can say that artistic jewelry is certainly an important part of his life. The experience gained in the creation of important projects for national and international companies allows him to present a wide range of proposals for body ornaments for different consumer targets.
“My mission is to propose a synergic dialogue between the worlds of jewelry, fashion and design, creating new market outlets and new possibilities for expressing the concept and the brand.”
The rich curriculum of experiences and the audience of famous clients, among which are mentioned the stars Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Nicole Kidman, Kim Cattrall declare the profile of an author who sets himself the goal of enriching creativity with a glamour of intense and passionate femininity, experimenting with the complex key of the involvement of the senses, the true engine of the desire to own an object that can make you perceive emotions.

In 1997, in Vicenza, at the age of twenty-six, he founded Cosimo Vinci Design and began collaborating with international fashion and high-end jewelry brands such as Versace, Versus, Valentino, Etro, Balmain, Biagiotti, Montana and Gattinoni. In addition to his work as an art director and jewelry designer, Cosimo Vinci is also a teacher of goldsmith design and planning. This teaching activity represents a natural evolution of his repertoire of knowledge, which, thanks to his daily practice as a designer, is transferred to young people. His aim is to train a generation of creatives cultured and stimulated by the many forms of contemporary communication.

TREASURES OF MAGNA GRECIA
Like any self-respecting creative, Cosimo Vinci also had his own personal obsession: in his case, the crown. He observed them, studied them, imagined them translated into the desert of time to recover their uncontaminated essence of pure beauty. He perceived the enveloping flow of history, he grasped the underlying symbolic load and revealed their function as a yoke. Enchanted by that value of a sign of submission, to which man has always bowed because he was powerless in the face of power, he subverted its origin and transformed the crown into an ornament of intimacy, of a refinement achievable for those who have the soul to understand its message.
His collection of 20 gold wreath crowns was born as a tribute to Magna Graecia, that place steeped in myth and history, where art and sacredness intertwined. The exhibition "TESORI DELLA MAGNA GRECIA", hosted in 2011 at the MartTA in Taranto, becomes the stage for this artistic challenge, an encounter between ancient and modern, between the dust of time and the lucidity of contemporaneity. Taranto, a city that carries with it the breath of the eras, becomes the perfect place where this contradiction can flourish.

In 2012, his art also found space at the Museo del Bijoux in Casalmaggiore, and in 2013 his creation "Mytos", an extraordinary crown-garland inspired by gold, conquered the public, adorning the head of the famous singer Carolina Marquez.
But the definitive consecration came in 2014, when the global pop star Madonna chose one of her garland crowns to adorn herself in a feature for Harper's Bazaar, paying homage to a beauty that became a universal symbol.
The overwhelming success of this collection will lead Cosimo Vinci to a definitive consecration: the
his garland crowns, symbol of a timeless research, will find a permanent home in the Museo del Gioiello in Vicenza, an Italian temple of goldsmith art. A place where the mastery of the past meets the vision of the future, and where each crown tells not only the story of the man, but also that of the artist who was able to rewrite it.
