HISTORY OF THE LOGO

COSIMO VINCI

The story of the triangular logo Cosimo Vinci starts from far away. The designer's Apulian origins are the starting point.

The Cosimo Vinci logo consists of a graphic representation of symbols that start from vital elements of the earth. At the center of the composition stands an anthropomorphic winged sun, an emblem of cosmic intelligence.

The Two Dolphins are the divine symbol of a recovered Magna Graecia, facing the same direction they symbolize the balance of two equal forces. The dolphins have a sprig of Taranto myrtle in their mouths. Cosimo drew them in homage to his land as the guardians of the great “V-Prisma”.

The image of the crown on the “V-Prism” represents the seat of spiritual power and as the image of eternity, as well as a symbol of vegetation of a personification of life forces.

The large “V-Prism” inside it repeats its shape in the same way on different scales as in a vertigo. The V manifests itself on a deep yellow background. The archetype is the light, the infinite and the Self.

At the bottom there is a band with a string of pearls held by the tails of the two dolphins and containing the famous phrase by Gaius Julius Caesar: Veni Vidi Vici, but Cosimo once again demonstrated his ironic side by adding his surname VINCI to indicate or announce the rapid and happy success of the project.

Cosimo knows how to read history, he recovers it with strength and determination and projects it into an archaeological future, hoping that the theme of beauty can be revitalized.

DESIGN

Cosimo Vinci's jewelry designs reveal a fascinating world of symmetries and geometries, giving life to tessellated creations that look beyond the future. Respect for architectural forms is transformed into structural jewels with airy patterns of origami folds. Geometric cleanliness is expressed through sharp shapes, acute angles captured in the form of
polygons and polyhedrons. Repetitive multidimensional shapes with glossy and matte finishes are
interspersed with custom-cut precious stones that create plays of light like in a diamond.

Cosimo Vinci's jewels are inspired by contemporary architecture and ceramic decorations from the Geometric period of art and combine strong angular lines, color and perspective.
to create illusions of depth and dimension in 3D models. Thus, in the archaeology of the future, sacred geometry and fractals are not just relics of the past, but tools to build a new world, based on principles of beauty, symmetry and universal connection.

My artistic poetics is to make ancient history dialogue with a possible
“contemporary archaeological”.
